DEFINITION

Sodium silicate is a surface thickener and hardener to obtain a shiny appearance on the surface, to increase the physical strength of the concrete surface on all concrete surfaces, to prevent dusting

SURFACE PREPARATION

The surfaces to be applied must be free from oil, dust, rust, dirty and all kind of residues. Acid-containing cleaners should not use as they will degrade the surface properties of the concrete floor to be applied.

APPLICATION

The product is applied to the surface to be applied by low pressure machine or by means of soft pile brush. The surface is kept wet for at least 30 minutes and during this time, the product is thoroughly rubbed with a soft brush. After application, the gelled product on surface is watered and removed with a rubber tipped scrubber or water-based machine so that no residue remains on the surface. After the surface has dried, no residue should remain on the surface. For extra shine it can be polished with special pads with surface wiping machine.
