BRV POLYURETHANE CONCRETE SF4

DEFINITION

BRV Polyurethane Concrete SF4 is a 4-component polyurethane concrete floor coating system specially designed for floors exposed to medium and heavy loads, formulated with polyurethane resin and aggregate blends. It is highly resistant to physical and mechanical impacts, abrasion, concentrated and diluted organic and inorganic acids, alkalis, and organic solvents. It can be applied in a single layer with a thickness of 4–6 mm, forms a smooth self-levelling floor surface, and provides an antimicrobial, hygienic, matte, non-slip finish.
Type TS EN 13813:2004 Screed materials and floor screeds
Color (Unpigmented Neutral Cream), Grey, Yellow, Red, Green
Applied Surface Appearance Matte, smooth surface
Component A Polyurethane resin
Component B Polyurethane hardener

Component C: 13.500 kg
Component D: 0.500 kg
Total Set Weight: 20.060 kg
Mixing Ratio A/B/C/D: 1/1/4.45/0.16
Application Equipment Adjustable steel level trowel,

steel notched trowel, spike roller

Application Thickness 4–6 mm
Ideal Application Temperature 15–25°C
Consumption
Primer Coat (Scratch Coat): 1–1.500 kg/m²
For 4 mm thickness: 7.480 kg/m²
For 6 mm thickness: 11.220 kg/m²
Pot Life of Mixed Material 10 minutes at 10°C, 5 minutes at 25°C.

After mixing, the product must be immediately spread onto the application surface.
Otherwise, the chemical reaction will cause rapid heating inside the mixing container and
irreversible hardening will occur, rendering the material unusable. Therefore, strict
compliance with the mixing ratios and application instructions is essential.

CURING TIME ON APPLIED SURFACES (at 25°C)
 Ready for light pedestrian traffic: 12 hours
 Ready for light wheeled traffic: 24 hours
 Ready for moderate traffic: 48 hours
 Ready for heavy load traffic: 7 days
 Full chemical resistance: 7 days
Note: The curing times stated above are average values at 25°C. These durations may vary
depending on environmental conditions and climatic changes at the application site.

It is used as a polyurethane concrete floor coating on industrial factory floors, storage and
packaging areas, catering facilities, food production plants, chemical production plants,
pharmaceutical factories, cold storage areas, laboratories, automotive industry facilities,
aircraft hangars, fruit, vegetable and fish markets, all industrial environments where high
mechanical strength and hygiene are required, battery production facilities exposed to highly
aggressive chemicals, and in the flooring of gold, copper and similar metal extraction
processing plants.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS
The best results during the application of BRV POLYURETHANE CONCRETE SF4 are
obtained at the ideal application temperature range of 15–25°C. Ensuring that the substrate
temperature, ambient temperature, and the temperature of the materials to be used are as equal
as possible will help achieve maximum surface quality after application.
Ambient temperatures lower than the ideal application range extend the curing time of the
product and, due to the temperature difference between the curing heat and the air
temperature, may cause surface defects such as condensation, shrinkage, and whitening marks
on the surface. Ambient temperatures higher than the ideal application range shorten the
curing time, which may lead to spreading difficulties during application, as well as trowel and
spike roller marks and surface appearance defects. Regular cleaning of the applied surface is
important to maintain its service life.

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE
BRV POLYURETHANE CONCRETE SF4 has high resistance to concentrated and diluted
organic and inorganic acids and alkalis, as well as organic solvents. The degree of impact
caused by potential chemical spills on the surface depends on the temperature, exposure
duration, type of chemical, and delayed cleaning, which may result in staining or
discoloration; however, this does not affect the surface integrity or performance. The use of
proper cleaning techniques on the surface will prevent possible chemical effects. For detailed
information regarding the effect of different chemicals on the applied surface, it is
recommended to contact our company’s technical department.

SHELF LIFE
The shelf life of liquid components A, B, and D of BRV POLYURETHANE CONCRETE
SF4 is 1 year, while the shelf life of component C (aggregate) is 6 months. Product set
components must be kept away from humid and damp environments.
