{"id":3515,"date":"2026-03-04T01:03:51","date_gmt":"2026-03-03T22:03:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brv.dijitalarihosting.com\/?p=3515"},"modified":"2026-03-30T14:02:39","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T11:02:39","slug":"determination-of-adhesion-strength-and-requirements-in-epoxy-floor-coatings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brv.com.tr\/en\/determination-of-adhesion-strength-and-requirements-in-epoxy-floor-coatings\/","title":{"rendered":"DETERMINATION OF ADHESION STRENGTH AND REQUIREMENTS IN EPOXY FLOOR COATINGS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For epoxy coatings to be applied on concrete floors, the concrete surfaces must have completed a <strong>28-day curing period<\/strong> and possess sufficient strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The concrete must have a minimum compressive strength of <strong>25 N\/mm\u00b2<\/strong> and a minimum tensile strength of <strong>1.5 N\/mm\u00b2<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The surface must be clean, smooth, and dry, and the moisture content of the concrete must not exceed <strong>5%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"953\" height=\"353\" src=\"https:\/\/brv.dijitalarihosting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3517\" srcset=\"https:\/\/brv.com.tr\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-1.png 953w, https:\/\/brv.com.tr\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-1-300x111.png 300w, https:\/\/brv.com.tr\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/image-1-768x284.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 953px) 100vw, 953px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For epoxy coatings applied on concrete surfaces with the specified requirements, the performance values must comply with <strong>TS EN 1504-2<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the most common problems in epoxy flooring systems is insufficient adhesion of the applied epoxy to the concrete surface, resulting in poor bonding or complete detachment from the substrate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to <strong>TS EN 1542<\/strong>, which is referenced within TS EN 1504-2, the adhesion strength of the epoxy coating is determined using a <strong>Digital Pull-Off Test Device<\/strong> (determination of bond strength by pull-off method).
