Two-component, epoxy resin-based, thixotropic hygienic topcoat coating and paint for drinking water reservoirs (SEAL SC 800)
Product Description:
SEAL SC 800 is a two-component, epoxy resin-based, thixotropic hygienic topcoat coating and paint. It is certified for use in drinking water systems and is suitable for contact with drinking water according to BS 6920 standards.
It forms a compact and hygienic film layer resistant to water and chemicals on the applied surface. Thanks to its formula compliant with the international food codex, it does not produce bacteria, prevents algae formation, and does not affect water quality.
Due to its thixotropic structure, it can be applied to vertical surfaces without sagging. It provides long-lasting protection in underground and above-ground water structures.
Areas of application:
- Underground drinking water reservoirs
- Above-ground water tanks
- Drinking water piping systems
- Concrete and metal water tanks
- All water structures requiring hygiene

SURFACE PREPARATION
The surfaces to be applied must be free from oil, dust, and dirty. Free parts on the surface, cement grout on concrete surfaces and parts that prevent adhesion must be cleaned. SA 2½ sanding or mechanic scrappind should be done on metal surfaces.
MIXING PREPARATION
A and B component should be mixed with a low speed mixer for at least 3-4 minutes until a homogenous mixture is obtained by paying attention to mixture ratios. It is ready for application after mixing.
COATING SYSTEM
Prepared mixture is applied not to be below 500 microns in 2 coats with brush, roller and 500 micron in 3 coats with air or airless gun.
Havalı veya havasız tabanca 3 katta toplam 500 mikronun altında olmayacak şekilde uygulanır.
APPLICATION CONDITIONS
* Surface should have sufficient strength. The concrete should have a compressive strength of at least 25 N/mm² and a tensile strength of at least 1,5 – 2 N/mm².
* Surfaces must be clean, smooth and dry. Humid is not pass 5%. If the humidity is above this ratio, SC 220 Epoxy Prime for Humid Surfaces should be preferred.
* Avoid application in very humid environments and below 5°C.
Products that can be used under this product:
* SC 215 Solvent Free Epoxy Primer
* SC 220 Epoxy Primer for 100% Humid Surfaces
