PRIMER AC 070 • Epoksi Zinc Rich

General Details

Two-component, solvent-based epoxy resin-based, zinc powder-containing anti-corrosion epoxy zinc-rich primer.

Product Description:

This is a two-component, solvent-based epoxy resin primer with a high zinc powder content, providing anti-corrosion protection to steel surfaces. Thanks to its zinc content, it offers cathodic protection, creating long-lasting corrosion resistance.

It forms a highly adhesive and durable film layer on the applied surface. Due to the zinc particles, it continues to protect the steel through galvanic action even if the surface is damaged. It provides particularly high performance on metal surfaces exposed to water, moisture, and aggressive atmospheric conditions.

It is used as a long-lasting corrosion protection system in industrial facilities and under heavy-duty conditions.

Areas of application:

  • Steel structures requiring cathodic protection
  • Iron and steel surfaces in contact with water and moisture
  • Industrial steel structures
  • Pipelines and metal equipment
  • Marine and high-humidity environment applications

Key Features:

  • High zinc powder content
  • Provides cathodic (galvanic) protection
  • Long-term corrosion resistance

SURFACE PREPARATION

* The surfaces to be applied must be free from oil, dust, and dirty. . It is especially recommended to sandblast at least Sa 2½ degree according to Swedish standard SIS 05 59 00 for surface cleaning. The first coat of primer is applied immediately after sandblasting.

MIXING PREPARATION

A and B component should be mixed with a low speed mixer for at least 3-4 minutes until a homogenous mixture is obtained by paying attention to mixture ratios. It is ready for application after mixing .

COATING SYSTEM

In application with primer prepared, bolt heads, welding seams and sharp edges should be taken care of. Paint should be applied to metal surfaces as one or two coats with a total dry film thickness of 30-35 microns.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS

Avoid application in very humid environments and below 10°C. Products that can be used upper this product : – AC 976 Solvented Epoxy Coal Tar Top Coat Paint – AC 2480 Epoxy Intermediate Coat Primer – AC 6380 Epoxy Top Coat Paint – AC 6490 Epoxy Top Coat Paint
