Two-component, solvent-free epoxy resin-based, chemical-resistant topcoat.
Product Description:
This two-component, solvent-free epoxy resin-based topcoat is designed to provide high resistance on surfaces exposed to chemicals. Thanks to its special formula, it exhibits resistance to acids, alkalis, and various chemical solutions. Its solvent-free nature ensures a safe and environmentally friendly working environment during application.
It provides both mechanical strength and chemical resistance thanks to the dense and compact film layer it forms on the surface. Its easy-to-clean and hygienic properties make it a reliable topcoat solution preferred in the healthcare and food industries. It exhibits strong adhesion to concrete, ceramic, and similar mineral surfaces, providing long-lasting protection.
Areas of application:
This epoxy topcoat can be safely used in areas where hygiene is critical, such as ceramic walls, laboratories, hospitals, food facilities, swimming pools, thermal pools, water tanks, treatment plants, and restrooms. It also offers high performance as a topcoat on industrial surfaces exposed to chemicals.
Key Features:
- High resistance to chemicals
- Solvent-free and environmentally friendly formula
- Hygienic and easy-to-clean surface
- Strong adhesion to ceramic, concrete and mineral surfaces
- Long-lasting and durable protection
- Ideal solution for healthcare, food and industrial facilities

SURFACE PREPARATION
* The surfaces to be applied must be free from oil, dust, and dirty.
* Free parts on the surface, cement grout on concrete surfaces and parts that prevent adhesion must be cleaned.
MIXING PREPARATION
A and B component should be mixed with a low speed mixer for at least 3-4 minutes until a homogenous mixture is obtained by paying attention to mixture ratios. It is ready for application after mixing.
COATING SYSTEM
The concrete surface to be applied must be primed with SC 210 Multipurpose Epoxy Primer – SC 215 Solvent Free Epoxy Primer or SC 270 Low Viscosity Epoxy Impregnated Primer. SC 220 Epoxy Primer for 100% Humid Surfaces should be used at humid surfaces. Chemical resistance epoxy coating can be applied after 12 hours of priming. The mixture is poured onto the surface to be applied and is spread equally to the surface by choicing toothed trowel depending on the desired thickness (1 mm or 2 mm of tooth spacing), The resulting air bubbles are removed by spiked roller. For brush or roller applications, an epoxy roller must be used. Since the thickness of the roller should be 200-300 microns in these applications, 2-3 coats should be applied to reach the desired thickness. It is recommended to apply PU 125 protective coating with 0,150-0,200 kg/m² waste where high UV resistance is desired.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS
* Surface should have sufficient strength. The concrete has a compression strength of at least 25 N/mm², nd a tensile strength of at least 1,5-2 N/mm².
* The surface must be clean and dry. Humidity must not exceed 5%, If the humidity is above this ratio, SC 220 100% Epoxy Primer for humid surfaces used on humid surfaces should be preferred.
* The primer to be used must have been completed its curing before the top coat application of chemical resisrance floor covering system is started.
* Avoid application in very humid environments and below 10°C.
* Mixing ratios should be considered.
